How and why we use cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, anonymous analytics, and security. We do not use them for advertising or cross-site tracking. This page explains exactly what we do and what choices you have.

Effective date: 2026-04-10

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to give site owners information about how visitors use their site. Similar technologies — like local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — do related jobs and are covered by this policy too.

02

Why we use them

We use cookies and similar technologies for three reasons:

  • Essential operation — to keep our website working, to remember that you have accepted our cookie banner, and (for customers signed in to the application) to keep you authenticated.
  • Anonymous analytics — to understand which pages visitors find useful, what links they click, and where they came from. We do not use these for advertising or for cross-site tracking.
  • Security — to detect and block automated abuse, credential-stuffing attempts, and suspicious activity on the application.
03

What we do not do

To be clear, we do not:

  • Sell your data to advertisers or data brokers
  • Use cookies to build a behavioural profile of you for marketing
  • Embed third-party advertising trackers on the website
  • Use Google Analytics or any other Google Marketing Platform product on the marketing site
  • Track you across other websites you visit after leaving ours
04

Cookies we use

The cookies on our website fall into the following categories:

CategoryPurposeLifetime

05

Your choices

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner we show on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through the browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the website may not work properly — for example, you may not be able to stay signed in to the application.

06

Third-party services

We do not currently embed any third-party services on the public website. Form submissions (contact, free assessment) post directly to our own first-party API. The full list of sub-processors used by the AutoCops platform is published in our Trust Center for transparency.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, change, or remove cookies. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged in the cookie banner.
